ATLANTIC FILM FEST HAPPENINGS

Two things!

First up, THE CORRIDOR, the feature length film that I shot in Canning last February will have it’s world premiere next month, as part of The 30th Annual Atlantic Film Festival! I am so damn excited to have THE CORRIDOR debut in Halifax in front of all of my peers, cohorts, friends, families, Peter Kellys, etc. But really, I put a lot into this film, and I believe it could turn into something special.

Synopsis:

The Corridor starts with five high school friends approaching 30, trying to rekindle their friendship over a winter weekend at Tyler’s family cabin.

The story takes place after Tyler’s release from a psychiatric institution. The film sees the characters face anxiety, fear, frustration, and a mysterious force field.

No dates or times for the screening/s have been annouced. Tickets for the festival go on sale “soon” according to the AFF website http://www.atlanticfilm.com/aff/.

Second!

Friday, September 17th at 12:oopm, I will be taking part in Script Out Loud, in which myself and some other talented actors will be passionately reading Cory Bowles‘ script for his upcoming feature length film CRACKER FACTORY.

Info:

Script Out Loud is the culmination of the Script Program and offers a unique opportunity for a finalist from last year’s Program to receive a full read-through of their screenplay with professional actors. Set in the relaxed atmosphere of The Carleton, Script Out Loud will bring the writer’s passion and dedication to life, in characters and plot lines that have gone through much transition and refinement over the past year. This year’s script, Cracker Factory, is a new screenplay from Halifax writer Cory Bowles.

Also, last but certainly not least, BLUSH RESPONSE will be screening in one of the (always entertaining) Atlantic Shorts evenings. Sorry for the lack of details, I’ll update again when I know more!
